Why we like this one: 870 miles is the obvious headline, but it is not the whole story. This really does present like a museum piece - the interior materials, controls, and general tightness are what stand out when you are around it. But we also wanted to know how it actually drove and operated, not just how well it had been preserved.
We acquired the car at 800 miles, knowing that an 18-year-old car with almost no use could still have needs once it was exercised. Our driving and sorting standards found leaks in the Dynamic Ride Control system and a grind entering third gear. We replaced three DRC strut/shock units and both front lower control arms before servicing the DRC system. The original 6-speed manual transmission was removed and sent to JH Motorsports for internal repair/rebuild. We also replaced the battery and coolant reservoir, then drove the RS4 again to confirm everything was operating as expected.
You are getting the rarity of the mileage with much more confidence in how the car actually operates today. That is what makes this car compelling now. Much of the uncertainty that came with a car that had barely been used has already been worked through. No used car is risk-free, but this is no longer just an 870-mile RS4 sitting on an odometer number - it is an 870-mile RS4 that has now been exercised, repaired where needed, and verified in operation by QuattroSport.
870-mile 2008 Audi B7 RS4 sedan finished in Avus Silver Pearl Effect over Black Nappa leather. It is powered by Audi's naturally aspirated 4.2-liter FSI V8, rated at 420 horsepower, with a 6-speed manual transmission and quattro all-wheel drive. Chassis and equipment highlights include Dynamic Ride Control suspension, silver 19-inch split-spoke wheels, drilled four-wheel disc brakes with RS-logo eight-piston front calipers over 14.4-inch rotors, heated power-adjustable Recaro front seats, heated rear seats, Bose audio, a power sunroof, adaptive bi-xenon lighting, and rear parking sensors.
The January 2025 CARFAX report shows two previous owners, no accidents or damage reported, no indication of odometer rollback, and eight service-history records.
